Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

These photos are from a solo trip to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (October 2017). I spent seven days hiking various sections of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Trail, which is part of the larger North Country Trail System. The hike took me through Beaver Basin Wilderness Area as well. The area was rich in creek crossings, human-created oddities (including the Log Slide area), long views of Lake Superior and a long stretch of deserted beach known as 12-Mile Beach.
